The cost and follow-up brief
Account for the bill and the care after it.
Ask for a full quote. Then ask who stays available after the first visit. Record both answers before you commit.
The medicine price is only part of the bill
Some online weight-care offers charge for care each month and bill for medicine separately (September 26, 2026).
Request separate lines for visits, medicine, tests and delivery. Ask which charges repeat and which depend on the care you receive.
Check the supply behind a published price
Semaglutide (Wegovy) is used to lose weight and help stop it coming back, with changes to food and exercise.
On September 26, 2026, the maker listed a Wegovy package at $1,349.02.
“List price” names the amount a maker publishes for its product.
Ask what you would actually pay, how much medicine the package holds and how many days it covers for your prescription. Keep those answers beside the price.
Ask about the bill after an offer ends
What is the usual charge? What renews on its own? How do I cancel? Is there still a visit charge if no medicine is prescribed?
Keep like with like
A medicine-only price and a price that includes visits answer different questions. Write down what each quote covers.
Fill in the quote, line by line
Copy notes you want to keep before leaving. Want a paper copy? Choose Print in the browser menu.
The care fees
Visit or membership quote
What is included? Note how often the charge repeats.
Later visits or messages
Included, charged apart, or still unanswered?
Cancellation and renewal terms
Note the usual fee after any offer, and how to stop future charges.
The medicine and extras
Medicine and delivery quote
Note the exact product, the supply covered by the quote and any separate delivery fee.
Tests and repeat tests
Ask who orders them, where they happen and what you would pay.
The full amount and the questions left open
Keep any missing fees visible rather than treating them as included.
Ask your insurance plan about the exact prescription
Give the insurance plan the medicine name and the reason the person writing the prescription is considering it. Ask what the plan pays and what you pay.
Word help: on
Formulary
Formulary is the name for the medicines a plan lists for coverage.
Prior authorization
Prior authorization asks for your insurer’s payment decision before you receive medicine from the pharmacy.
The insurer’s answer and what still needs approval
Note who you spoke to and how to get the answer in writing.
Ask the plan itself
Keep the insurance reply alongside the care quote. Ask which figure is your share of the bill.
Name the next contact before the visit ends
Ask whoever writes the prescription about possible harms. Get a clear route to help between visits.
Keep a follow-up note
I know whom to contact about the medicine. I know how to reach them and when to expect a reply. I know how the next review will be arranged.
Who I will contact, how and what I still want to ask
Leave room for the answer after the visit.
Give an unclear answer another question
Try: “Who handles that?” “Is that in the quoted fee?” “Can I have the plan in writing?” You can ask for time to think.
Follow-up
The care and conversations after the first visit. Put the next contact beside the next bill, so neither gets lost.

Board guidance on online visits
Look here to frame questions about needed tests, office visits and later contact. State boards can use this advice, but it does not make one rule for prescribing across the country.
FDA notes on weight-loss drug offers
Use this if the proposed medicine is for weight care. It gives questions to ask about the medicine’s source and who answers later.

This guide helps you form care questions; no one is treated here and no medicine is sold.
